| Balgownie started trading as an engineering
company in 1907(? Bob) in sheet metal work and tank manufacturing supplying
to shipyards, farmers and the food industry diversifying into manufacture
and supply of dairy equipment. |

| 1980 |
Bob Mann took over the company
now mainly dealing in dairy equipment and water pump supplies at that
time and diversified the company into machinery supplies (garden machinery,
generators, power washers etc), trailers construction machinery. |

Company trading name changed
to Balgownie Machine Centre (a division of Balgownie Ltd) |

Mike Singer joined Company |

| 1991
| Balgownie started a water-well
drilling division, as water rates were on the increase the larger users
of water found a private water supply a more viable solution to mains
water, this part of the company run along side the pump division which
also had expanded into water filtration, offering a full package from
locating a source to full installation and filtration (where required). |

1991 |
Pumps and filtration moved
to set up a separate company – Filpumps Ltd. |

1992 |
Balgownie became stockist /
distributor of roads maintenance products, Bitumen products, quick set
mortars, overbanding tapes & shimpac planks. |

1996-7 |
Dairy equipment moved to Filpumps
Ltd. allowing the now Balgownie LTD T/A Balgownie Machine Centre expand
more into the supply of machinery with full spares and repairs back up. |

2001 |
Balgownie became distributor
for the Komatsu range of utility machines, mini & midi excavators,
skid steers and loaders. As more and more machines were being sold Balgownie
found themselves in a market crying out for 2nd hand construction
equipment, which they duly supplied. |

| 2002 |
Balgownie
opened their Hire Centre at Thainstone Agricultural Centre complex, Inverurie
where most of the 2nd hand plant is sold from utilising the
engineers to check over any machines before being sold. |
